Description
The West 7th Laneway house is a 1002 sq ft project that broke ground March 2017, and is now complete. The roof structure wraps around the unit as a continuous datum, starting from the ground acting as a wall and working its way up transforming into an angular roof. The interior split-level provides moments of compression and expansion, which clearly demarcates the transition between programs. The exterior material and colour selection pays homage to the main house.
